Yzerfontein parkrun supports green environments with the course taking you pass the wind turbines. On a windy day it is an experience to hear the turbines in action. It starts with a slow ascent rewarding you a with a view at the top of Table Mountain, Meeurots, Dassen Island and Langebaan lagoon in the distance. You will run pass the 4 wind turbines. From there it is downhill with a few twists and turns to the finish line. The course is run on a mixture of jeep and single track through the farm lands. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud and puddles after rain.
