Workington

This is an out and back course. Commencing on the path below Calva bridge, runners/walkers follow the riverside path West for 300m toward Navvies footbridge. The path veers right up a small incline and heads North toward Seaton on the Cycle route. Within a further 200m runners/walkers negotiate the ‘wiggle gate,’ which is the first marshall point, and head north along the path up a lightly inclining and twisting path toward a junction point (marshalled). Runners take the left hand fork on a lightly downhill section which flattens for a straight half mile stretch of cycleway between large lakes of a wetland nature reserve. Runners/Walkers then run over a footbridge spanning the A596, down a short twisting area of path and then veer left at a fork in the cycleway (marshalled) to follow a half mile section to the turn round point (marshalled).
