Woodhouse Moor

The course starts just behind the statue of the Duke of Wellington on the southernmost corner of Woodhouse Moor (the corner bordered by Clarendon Road and Moorland Road). Runners then head due north for just short of 600m diagonally across to the other corner of the park where they take a sharp left hand bend and then complete a further approx. two and a half anticlockwise circuits of the park. Runners should therefore only cross the finish line the third time it comes into sight. For the most part the course is on reasonable tarmac or paved paths except for a short (less than 100m) “off-road” stretch of grass and bare earth which also has a short and steep incline which can become muddy in wet weather and also has hazards due to exposed tree roots. Runners should exercise extra caution on the off-road section.
