The start is at the main entrance into the boating pond, opposite the Thurso Leisure Centre. An anti-clockwise loop of the boating pond is undertaken, before undertaking three laps on the river paths between the cemetery and boating pond footbridges. After running over the boating pond footbridge for the third time, continue back to the boating pond and run clockwise to the finish.
