The course is two clockwise loops of Fairlands Valley Park, starting at the path cross roads between the 2 large lakes and finishing on the grassy bank at the north side of the boating house. The route follows the western side of the lake before descending through the trees, with runners turning right onto the cycle path and then right again to re-enter the park. From here the course bears slightly left and leaves the tarmac path to follow a dirt path between rows of trees for approx 150m before it rejoins the tarmac path again on the approach to the swing park area. The run then follows the natural perimeter of the path to the northern end of the park, and then loops around the two smaller lakes to return to the start. The lap is then repeated until the runners start on the approach back from the northern end where they will be directed on a pathway with a small incline leading towards a small crop of trees where the finish will be.
