Southwark parkrun is a flat 3-lap course taking place in the southern half of Southwark Park. It is entirely on tarmac up until the finish line which is on grass. We meet under trees on the edge of the playing fields near the Gallery and after the pre-run briefing we make our way to the start near the China Hall Gate. After just over three laps, the finish line is back at the meeting point. The laps are not all identical - at the fork near the end of each lap, the course takes the longer right-hand route on the first lap and the shorter left-hand route on laps 2 and 3. We encourage runners to keep right where possible on our course and to overtake on the left.
