The course starts approximately 10m past the monument and heads up towards the Mansion house. Just before reaching this point the course takes a left turn across the top of the park towards the park's Street Lane entrance, before once more taking a left turn at the path's end down to the near corner of Hill60, lovingly known to the run directors as "Gambon Corner". At the bottom of the Hill60 steps you take a sharp left down the side of the cricket pitch and through the cricket pavilion, following the path to the children's playground and the beautiful Lakeside Cafe. The route takes it's final left hand turn and heads back towards the starting monument.
