The course is two anticlockwise laps with an extra bit at the start and the finish. The start is by the children's playground and the finish is in front of the cafe. The lap starts on the grass going up towards Park Lane gate then around the footpath post and back towards the lake going through the centre of the small copse of trees. Then down to the lake where the footpath post stands and turn left along the path around the lake. About half way around the lake there is another footpath post where you turn left up the woodland trail. This can be muddy and wet in winter and is uphill to the east side of the park where you turn left coming out of the trees and run on the grass next to the trees all the way to the big tree just before the lake. Turn right to the footpath post where the course joined the lake and turn right to go towards the tennis courts and the beginning of the lap. Go round again and then to the finish.
