The route consists of two laps around a circuit of scenic Linwood Moss, and is a very flat course with only gentle undulations. It is mainly a hard packed gravel trail (3km) with a tarmac section (2km). From the start between ON-X and the artificial football surfaces, the course follows two laps around the Moss area following an anticlockwise course. A left turn after the football pitches on the tarmac trim trail leads to the first marshal point and a transition to gravel. A gradual right turn is then followed by 500m on the main trail through a woodland setting before another two left turns brings the trail to a westerly woodland section that meanders back towards ON-X, keeping to the right at all path junctions, until a directed left turn leads to the start-line at ON-X for the second lap to begin. The 2nd lap starts with a left turn to run around the perimeter of the football pitches to pick up the main trail again. At the end of the 2nd lap continue forward between the football parks and directly into the finish funnel.
