The course is a 2 lap clockwise route of Whitby Park which starts outside the main hall. The car park is just a few yards from the bandstand and you should aim to park the opposite side of the car park to the playground. The course heads down the main pathway from the Hall towards the bandstand where you will pass around to the left of the bandstand and turn right to head towards the first marker at the back of a nestle of trees. Pass the trees and head diagonally right towards the second marker found at a small bridge which takes you through the hedge to the second field. Once you pass over the bridge, go straight ahead to the third marker at the far side of the field and turn right to go behind the hedge. The pathway then heads into the small wood with the rear of residential houses on your left. Immediately on exiting the wooded area turn right and at approx. 50 yards you will turn right at some small yellow flags back into the woods to do a short out and back loop turning right at the red bollards and then carry back on in a straight line towards the far end of the park, passing the back of the hall on your right hand side. You will approach the fourth marker indicating a right turn to run through some lovely older trees with the tennis courts on your right. Head towards the fifth marker which is placed adjacent to the small Marie Curie Field of Hope Stone on your right. Bear left diagonally towards the nestle of trees at far corner of the park, adjacent to the playground. Pass behind the trees and come back on yourself towards the skatepark where you will join the main pathway at the climbing wall, taking a left turn at the sixth marker and pass by the wild garden on your left. Continue on the pathway with the Hall on your left back to the start for a second loop. On your final lap you will end by continuing through the start line and then straight off onto the grass to the right of the path and into the finish funnel.
