After a lap of the overflow car park you exit at the top corner heading down the gravel path towards the Temple field. Follow the path and turn left in the Temple field. Then run clockwise along the lakeside following the path. Run straight up the promenade and around the Roman pond before turning sharp right and sharp right again before crossing a small footbridge and again following the edge of the smaller lake in the park. At the small crossing of the lake turn sharp left and sharp left again and run alongside the small lake before turning right to take a steady climb through woods to join the old road. Turn left at the top for about 40m before heading back on yourself along the old road and continue to the end to turn right towards the visitors centre. Continue past the visitors centre and rejoin the main path, along the side of the car parks, and continue back towards the start. Do not enter the overflow car park, instead join the route where you exited the overflow car park to start a second lap of the course.
