We start on the grassy area immediately behind the visitors centre, heading up a gentle incline parallel  to the park’s picturesque lime avenue. At the top of the hill, we turn left and up a broad grassy track toward woodland on the right. The run continues in a broad clockwise sweep around the woodland. At the “Woodhenge” sculpture, the route swings to the right, now following an anticlockwise sweep until we pass meadow pond. The route then swings to the left, passing anticlockwise around a wooded coppice before entering the woodland trail. When we meet a track with a gate on the right, we turn left, leaving the woodland, but following its boundary, keeping it to our right. We head down hill toward the all weather pitches, passing anticlockwise around them to complete the first lap.
